| Since I'm moving soon, I'm cleaning out my room. I have found a few thoughts written on slips of paper that I want to keep for one reason or another.
Silly entertainment: One night, Emilee, Mary, and I started writing movie starters by having one person write the characters, one person write the setting, and the last person write the problem. Here's one of them:
Troy the badger loves his family very much. He lives with his wife, Brenda, and their three children: Susan, Kelvin, and Mikey. Troy is a tall, good-looking badger with a good sense of style. Brenda is a slightly pudgy badger who loves feeding everyone. Susan is a girly youngster whose one true love is make-up. Kelvin and Mikey think this is silly, and they would rather play in the mud. The family is Catholic, and they go to visit the Pope in the middle of a glorious vacation in the European countryside. It's Easter, and they are going to Mass in an effort to re-ignite their faith in a God that has become an afterthought in a busy life. While they are at Mass, a group of land pirates kidnap Troy's wife.
Pensiveness (written before Christmas):
Advent isn't just a time of waiting for Christmas; it is also a time of anticipation. We wait gladly, thinking of the joy that is to come. When we wait for something in life, we need to wait for it with the same joy and anticipation, knowing that what God will bring to pass will bring joy, even if it takes time. Without the time of anticipation, Christmas would not bring such pleasure. If the Wise Men had not spent so many years looking for Baby Jesus, they would not have had such joy when they found Him. God uses times of anticipation to increase our joy when the awaited event occurs.

| According to Xanga's new page, I have no friends... That's a jerky way to say that I have not used their Facebook-like feature!
In other news, the end of the school year is crazy as always. I have written almost twice as much paperwork this year as normal, but it's almost over! After that, it's lots of work for grad classes and then a break. Not much else has changed, but that's not a bad thing. Life is good. The end.

| According to the newspaper, Pennsylvania might actually have a chance to vote in the Democratic primaries! That excites me because we usually do not have a chance to vote. In fact, I did not know when we vote until I looked at the newspaper today. For those of you who are curious, we vote on April 22. The Democratic primary is close enough that it may still be undecided. I would like to vote in a primary; the two candidates have always been chosen for me. Personally, I think it is silly that Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and some other states have such an influential role on the primary elections. Some states that vote last, even later than Pennsylvania, have no say in the primary process. While I realize that it would not be practical to have all the primaries at once, it would seem logical to have the primaries on a rotating schedule of some kind so that the same state are not always first. Of course, Iowa would never agree to this, but it would be nice.

| If you're like me, you hate talking to machines when you call a company because you're calling for something too complicated for a machine to answer. I've tried various ways to find a real person (often pushing the button to add service because they'll put me through then), but this website has the way to get a real person for each company. I love it!

| It's not October anymore, and I now have a working, non-totaled car! I've been realizing over the past few months that my church is becoming a more important part of my life, and I am spending much more of my time with friends from church, partly because many of my college friends live far away and I do not see them as often. Also, as I get to know people from church, I am more likely to be invited places. One woman from church has invited me over to her house for the past few weeks after church to have lunch, and I've played word games with her daughter each week, which is a blast. I'm also involved in ministries such as worship team and other music events. I feel so comfortable in my church, and I love the people there. They are not afraid to discuss complicated issues of race, which is good because the church members represent multiple races and countries. Many other places seem to bury issues under the carpet, and though my church is not perfect, people are more open to talking about racism in society than many other places I've been. I've heard some people say that they don't see color, but I think that's silly. I think most people see color to some extent. I've decided that I do see color, but I think it's beautiful. I love being in situations where I'm around people from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We can learn many things from people's experiences. It's a shame that we so often limit ourselves to associating with people from our ethnic backgrounds. I've come to the point where I have trouble worshiping in an all-white church because I wonder where everyone else is and why they're being excluded. The worship seems so hollow with so many of God's children missing. These are just some thoughts I've been having; they are not intended to insult anyone or tell them what to think.
